A leading property development firm in Putrajaya is seeking an Assistant Manager - Corporate Sustainability. The successful candidate will implement sustainability strategies, coordinate sustainability efforts across departments, and lead in sustainability reporting. Ideal candidates should have a degree in relevant fields and a minimum of 6 years of experience, preferably in the property sector. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of sustainability frameworks and risk management.
Implement sustainability strategies that support economic, environmental and social sustainability objectives of the company.
Coordinate with relevant operating units to strive towards embedding sustainability in organizational culture and in business operations.
Support the management of material sustainability matters of the company.
Coordinate with relevant departments and operating units to monitor target achievement of all deliverables.
Lead in preparation of sustainability reporting in alignment with reporting standards and frameworks and in compliance to regulatory requirements.
Lead in preparation of internal review and external assurance of Sustainability process and data.
Support integration of sustainability risks and opportunities into Enterprise Risk Management through engagement with the relevant departments and operating units.
Actively engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders including investors, regulators and employees of IOIPG on sustainability related matters.
Develop and implement communication plans to promote sustainability awareness and to inculcate sustainability ownership through sustainability programs.
Actively participate and liaise closely with relevant departments in compilation & verification of sustainability data.
Prepare sustainability-related presentations, reports and ESG rating updates for both internal and external consumption.
Lead in materiality assessment for business segments across the Group.
Participate in ESG rating platforms and credible ESG awards to strengthen the sustainability presence and positioning of the Group.
Build strong collaborative partnerships and manage such initiatives to reinforce the Group’s ESG performance.
Lead the team in conducting gap analysis against global reporting standards and trends as well as sector peer reports.
Degree in Social Science/Sociology, Risk Management, Accounting/Finance, Biodiversity/Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum 6 years' related working experience, preferably with exposure in:
Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and standards (IFRS, NSRF, GRI, SASB, GRESB, TCFD).
Ability to collate and analyze data and information as well as present findings for effective formulation of strategies.
Self-starter, confident and able to engage well with people.
Excellent planning, organizing, coordination and negotiation skills.
Good interpersonal, leadership, presentation and communication skills (verbal & written).
