The Role:

  • Perform the following tasks based on Singapore Risk Based Capital 2 (RBC) reporting requirements with sufficient checking and analysis:
    • Monthly valuation (reserve, financial resources and risk requirements)
    • Stress Testing
    • Sensitivity testing on Capital Adequacy Ratio under Group prescribed scenarios
    • Business planning
    • Capital Contingency Plan
  • Enhance existing Prophet coding to cater for RBC2 reporting requirements with audit trail for the abovementioned tasks. This includes the future maintenance of those coding which are related to RBC2 reporting requirements.
  • Work with supervisor to design process and reporting template for the abovementioned tasks with reasonableness checking and audit trail.
  • Work with risk management, actuarial and finance teams in the Great Eastern Group on the requirements, timeline and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) request.
  • Highlight any potential concerns / enhancements on Group reporting.
  • Other responsibilities entailed.

The Person:

  • Degree in Actuarial Science with good progress in Actuarial examination.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience.
  • Good understanding of the insurance industry preferably in life insurance.
  • Good communication, project management and time management skills, and possess good problem solving ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and programming language.
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
