JOB VACANCY: ASSISTANT MANAGER ACCOUNTS AND FINANCE

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Accounts & Finance to support and strengthen the overall financial management of our manufacturing operations. This role is to assist the Accounts & Finance Manager in managing financial and accounting functions ensuring accuracy of financial records, timely reporting and adherence to Malaysian Accounting Standards, statutory requirements and Elektrisola Group guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Managing full-set accounts, monthly closing, budgeting, cash flow planning, and tax planning.
  • Prepare financial and management reports, including quarterly submissions to top management and headquarters.
  • Support statutory audits, tax matters, transfer pricing documentation, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external stakeholders including banks, auditors, government agencies (e.g., MIDA, MITI, IRBM), insurance brokers, and company secretaries.
  • Maintaining internal control, risk management, fraud prevention and compliance measures.
  • Support product standard costing, costing updates, and variance analysis to aid business decisions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional departments to ensure financial accuracy and provide cost insights to support efficiency and productivity improvements.
  • Provide guidance to accounting staff on documentation and financial processes
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and financial process optimizations.
  • Assist in monitoring KPIs and financial performance indicators to support management decision-making.
  • Assist in reviewing inventory valuation, stock variances, and fixed asset registers for reporting accuracy.
  • Support the enhancement and accuracy of financial data within ERP/accounting systems, including periodic system updates and data validations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of financial documentation and statutory records for audit readiness.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, ESG requirements, business integrity and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance (recognized university)
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience; manufacturing experience preferred
  • Familiar with financial regulations, taxation and audit requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP/accounting software experience is an advantage
  • Familiarity with ISO/Quality Systems
  • Possess a recognized professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent is an added advantage
  • Exposure to ESG-related accounting/reporting and business continuity planning is an added advantage
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia & English (both spoken and written)
