Job description

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance for textile machinery (spinning frames, looms, knitting machines, dyeing, printing, finishing machines); ensure minimum machine downtime and fast response to breakdowns; monitor daily maintenance activities and ensure proper job closure and documentation; coordinate maintenance activities with Production to avoid disruption.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Support root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures; assist in machine upgrades, modification, and improvement projects; ensure correct installation, commissioning, and handover of new equipment; provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and electricians.
• Preventive Maintenance & Asset Management: Implement and update Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules; monitor equipment performance indicators (MTBF, MTTR); assist in maintaining machinery history records and spare part usage; support asset life-cycle management and replacement planning.
• Spare Parts & Cost Control: Assist in managing spare parts inventory and critical spares list; support cost control initiatives for maintenance materials and services; liaise with suppliers and contractors for parts sourcing and repairs; ensure spare parts are properly identified, stored, and controlled.
• Team Supervision & Training: Assist in supervising maintenance technicians, electricians, and contractors; support skill development and on-the-job training for maintenance staff; enforce discipline, housekeeping (5S), and standard work practices; act as shift-in-charge when Maintenance Manager is absent.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Additional certification in Maintenance Management, TPM, or Reliability Engineering will be an advantage.
• Working Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Prior experience in the textile industry (spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, finishing) is highly preferred. Experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial role is an added advantage.
• Technical Competency: Strong knowledge of textile machinery and plant utilities; mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; hands-on experience in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance; ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions; basic knowledge of PLC and industrial control systems is an advantage.
