Job summary

A leading battery manufacturing company in Kulai, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager. The candidate will oversee local IT operations ensuring alignment with global strategies, manage compliance, and maintain system infrastructure. Job description

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree or above, majoring in Computer Science / Information Technologies or equivalent.

At least 8 Year(s) of working experience in manufacturing field, experience working in a matrixed organization with dual reporting lines is preferred.

Technically competent with good analytical skills, result oriented, proactive, resourceful with a high degree of independence and perseverance.

Fluent speaking and writing in English, Bahasa Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities
  • Overseeing local IT operations and supporting business needs under the direction of local management.
  • Close alignment with HQ/Global IT to ensure consistency with corporate strategy, standards, and roadmap.
  • Manage and enforce local IT policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and inventory management.
  • Oversee setup, configuration, and maintenance of system infrastructure including servers, storage, networks, and security devices.
  • Collaborate with HQ/Global IT on architecture standards and security frameworks.
  • Provide recommendations on future planning, technology adoption, and resource development to both local and HQ/Global IT.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by local management or HQ/Global IT leadership.
