A culinary services provider is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Head Chef / Head Chef for a 6-month contract in Malaysia. The role involves planning, preparing, and executing high-quality dishes, overseeing kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Head Chef / Head Chef to provide professional kitchen and culinary services on a Contract for Service basis.
Plan, prepare, and execute high-quality dishes in accordance with company standards
Research & Development (R&D) of new recipes, dishes, and food concepts
Create, develop, and standardize menus covering Asian and Western cuisine
Oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation activities
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
Manage kitchen team workflow, supervision, and task delegation
Assist in menu costing, food costing, and cost control
Monitor inventory, stock ordering, and wastage control
Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation
Perform any other related kitchen operational duties as required
Proven experience as an Assistant Chef / Head Chef
Strong culinary, leadership, and kitchen management skills
Experience in menu creation and food R&D (Asian & Western cuisine)
Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Responsible, disciplined, detail-oriented, and quality-driven
Nature: 6 months Contract for Service (Service Provider)
Career Opportunity: Conversion to permanent employment may be offered based on satisfactory performance during the contract period
