Assistant General Manager/ Senior Manager – (Chemical & Fertilizer Distribution)

Company Overview: A leading chemical and fertilizer distribution company is expanding its operations in Malaysia and Vietnam. The business covers bulk trading of petrochemical derivatives, fertilizers, and raw materials, as well as local distribution, which is being aggressively grown.

We are seeking dynamic leaders with a proven track record in chemical/fertilizer sales to join the team and drive business growth regionally.

Job Responsibilities

Assistant General Manager (AGM)

• Lead and manage multiple senior managers across different product/industry verticals
• Drive minimum RM1.5 million revenue
• Expand local distribution channels and develop new business opportunities
• Build, coach, and manage high-performing teams
• Frequent travel

Senior Manager (SM)

• Manage a full product or industry vertical (Construction Chemicals, Coatings, Rubber, Plastics, Adhesives, Paint & Coating)
• Drive minimum RM500k revenue
• Maintain and grow strong customer relationships
• Liaise with suppliers in China and local distributors
• Regional travel as required

Requirements

• Industry Experience: Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Chemical Distribution, Rubber, Plastics, Adhesives, Paint & Coating, Construction Materials
• Language: Mandarin (speaking is required to liaise with China suppliers; reading/writing is an advantage)
• Proven sales track record with product knowledge and customer network
• Stable career history (minimum 5 years per company)
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Able to prepare a business expansion / wholesale strategy proposal for interviews
