Job summary

A manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial statement preparation, budgeting, and risk management processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, along with professional qualifications and 5–10 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and excellent analytical and communication skills are essential. This role involves team supervision and collaboration with various departments to ensure financial discipline across the company.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, “year‑end” financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and management reports ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, in compliance with Malaysian accounting standards and LH Plus’s internal policies.
  • Support the budgeting & forecasting process by perform variance analyses (actual vs budget) and provide insights and recommendations to management.
  • Monitor and manage working capital, cash flow projections, accounts receivable & payable, and liaise with banking partners as needed.
  • Oversee cost‑control initiatives, reviewing overheads, manufacturing costs, wastage, and ensure manufacturing cost efficiency consistent with LH Plus’s operational goals.
  • Ensure internal control systems are robust by participate in audits (internal & external), assist in providing required schedules & documentation, implement audit findings / recommendations.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion of audit processes and address audit findings.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, customs (for exports), statutory requirements, and relevant certifications LH Plus holds (quality / environment / safety etc.).
  • Support systems & process improvements: help in implementing financial systems or workflows to enable better reporting, tracking, automation where feasible.
  • Assist in risk management: Identify financial, operational risks (e.g. currency, cost variance, supply chain), recommend mitigation measures.
  • Team supervision / development: guide / mentor junior finance staff; ensure tasks are delivered on time, with accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional departments (production, procurement, sales) to align financial planning, cost estimations, and ensure financial discipline across the company.
