Job summary

A leading corporation in Malaysia is seeking a senior finance executive to manage full-set accounts, oversee financial reporting, and lead budgeting initiatives. The successful candidate will require a degree in Accounting or Finance and over 6 years of relevant experience. Strong leadership, analytical skills, and expertise in financial planning are essential. Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP is preferable. The role is based in Kuala Lumpur with occasional travel to the Pulau Indah plant.

Job description

This position is responsible in operation finance which includes financial reporting, budget, corporate taxation, statutory audit, in charged of AP, AR and GL functions and any ad hoc tasks to be given from time to time.

Job Responsibilities

To be able to handle full-set of accounts (AP, AR, GL) and ensure preparation of management reports in a timely manner, accurate and comprehensive.

Assist in costing analyze i.e. cost-volume-profit relationships, standard costing, variance analyses for costs and revenues, transfer pricing and activity-based costing for business/management analysis.

To liaise with internal and external auditors on any matters pertaining to internal audit and statutory audits. To assist in ensuring the overall improvement to the internal control and accounting processes.

To assist in all matters pertaining to taxation (corporate tax and SST) i.e. accurate and timely preparation of tax estimate, filing of tax returns and etc.

Responsible for the preparation of annual budget, forecast and planning by liaising with the relevant business units & departments to arrive at the budget key performance indicators and plan and strategies and initiatives to be incorporated into budget forecast and planning preparation.

Other duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

Candidate must have a Degree in Accounting or Finance, professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CIMA or ACCA will be an advantage.

Minimum >6 years working experience in a senior executive position.

Leadership and organisational skills.

Proficient in financial and tax planning.

Computer skills and proficient in accounting system.

Self-motivated with high level of integrity, work responsibility & accountability.

Acute attention to detail, highly organized, confident, analytical, proactive and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, negotiation and reporting skills.

Experience with ERP is preferable.

This position will be based at Kuala Lumpur. Willing to travel to Pulau Indah plant on occasion basis.
