Job summary

A leading company in feedstock supply is looking for a qualified individual to manage supplier relationships and oversee supply commercial procedures in Johor, Malaysia. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, handling shipping administration, and ensuring compliance with contracts. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience and be proficient in ERP systems. Good command of Malay and English is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial and clerical experience, preferably in manufacturing or trading industries.
  • Experience in shipping administration.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working under pressure.

Job description
Overall

To facilitate feedstock supply commercial activities, enhance supplier relationships and govern feedstock supply commercial procedures and requirements.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinating with suppliers to confirm the cargo readiness date based on feedstock demand and contractual delivery schedules.
  • Arranging for a third-party surveyor to conduct the testing.
  • Assist the contract and logistics information updated into SIMS (MPOB system).
  • Work closely with suppliers and refinery to arrange for the supervision of loading.
  • Consulting with the refinery in case of quality discrepancies.
  • Maintain detailed records on suppliers and build a database as a track record.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team and suppliers to gather necessary supporting documents according to the contract.
  • Collaborate with the Internal Stakeholders to track payment status and provide updates to suppliers.
  • Prepare the customs clearance documents for import shipment.
  • Handle ad hoc projects assigned by Supervisors.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Higher Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial and clerical experience, preferably in manufacturing or trading industries
  • Proficient in ERP systems
  • Experience in shipping administration
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, independent, and demonstrates strong ownership while working effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and working under pressure
  • Good command of both spoken and written in Malay and English.
