We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Director, Business Development to support our sales leadership in driving revenue growth and expanding market presence for Berjaya Tioman Resort, a premier island getaway.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident sales leader with a strong commercial mindset and proven hospitality experience, who can drive sales performance, build lasting client relationships, and inspire a high-performing team in a unique resort environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in leading and mentoring the Business Development team to achieve collective revenue goals.
  • Drive marketing strategies to strengthen the resort’s market position.
  • Proactively identify and secure new business, including events, conferences, and group bookings.
  • Collaborate with GM and F&B teams to optimise business mix.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts while fostering long-term partnerships to ensure repeat business.
  • Represent the resort at sales trips, tradeshows, and promotional events.
What We’re Looking For
  • Diploma in Marketing, Business Studies, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in sales/business development, preferably in hospitality.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Own transport and willingness to travel.
