Job summary

A leading design firm located in Puchong, Malaysia is seeking a skilled Interior Designer with a flair for retail and commercial projects. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma or Degree in Interior Design/Architecture, have at least two years of experience in Retail Design, and be proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, and Photoshop. Strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin are preferred. This role requires creativity, teamwork, and the ability to work within a defined budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years experience in Retail Design.
• Able to speak Bahasa Malaysia, English & Mandarin.
• Team Work oriented, high self-discipline, creative and innovative personality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sketches, space planning and design development within budget.
• Liaise with sub-con/suppliers on design works.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Prepare sketches, space planning and design development within budget.
• Able to liaise with sub-con/suppliers on various stage or design works.
• Brief and explain to sub-con/supplier on proposed design works and finishes before commence work.
• Work within timely schedule and reporting work progress to superior.
• Understand company vision and design aesthetics, helping drive a consistent design sensibility across all projects.
• Has a well-developed eye for scale and balance, designing elements that ‘fit’ the space for maximum impact.
• Prepare project costing, material selection, and technical drawings.
• To resolve design related issues at all stages for the project.

Qualifications

• Minimum credit in SPM for BM, English, Technical Math, and 2 Science subjects.
• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design/Architecture.
• Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Auto cad, V‑ray & 3Dmax skills required will be added advantage.
• Microsoft office & Sketch‑up skills will be added advantage.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel.
• Able to join immediately will be an added advantage.
• Able to speak Bahasa Malaysia, English & Mandarin will be added advantage.
• Flare in Interior Design especially retail and commercial projects.
• Team Work oriented, high self‑discipline, creative and innovative personality is a must.
• Minimum two (2) years experience in Retail Design.
