Promotes an ethics-based culture, delivering practical solutions, guidance and training, identifying and managing less moderately complex Compliance Risks by implementing policies, processes, and controls related to the Compliance Risk Universe. Interacts with supervisory bodies when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the compliance strategy aligns with the business strategy, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • Promote an ethics-based culture through training, awareness activities, and provide management with relevant metrics.
  • Assess new laws and trends for applicability and implementation in Zurich’s operations, ensuring all Market Conduct Risks are identified and managed.
  • Support compliance advisory during product development and review processes by assessing conduct risks and ensuring alignment with fair customer outcomes, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor sales practices and intermediary conduct, support the implementation of key risk indicators and targeted reviews, and collaborate with distribution teams to strengthen governance and compliance.
  • Liaise with business and operational functions to embed regulatory requirements into procedures and facilitate operational controls.
  • Prepare Management Information and monthly reports for the Group Compliance and relevant Committees.
  • Perform Institutional Risk Assessments, identify gaps, and take corrective actions.
  • Conduct internal quality assurance reviews on business processes to ensure compliance with local and Group requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support departmental objectives and compliance.

Job Requirements

  • Solid understanding of Insurance and Takaful laws, regulations, compliance best practices, and knowledge of financial products and systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Law, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of market conduct regulations and consumer protection frameworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a self-motivated attitude.
  • Proactive, with initiative and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and local language skills.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills.
