Assembly & Technical Support Technician / Engineer
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the maintenance and correction of products that have been sold
  • Provide onsite corrective and preventive maintenance as well as other after-sales technical support solutions
  • Interact with customers to provide information and procedures to address the inquiries, concerns and requests to their products and services
  • Work outside of the company premises and must be able to work without any direct supervision
  • Regular travel is frequent as need to handle in-house or off-site maintenance jobs
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills must be possessed by all engineers
  • Must be familiar with all parts of the product as well as familiarity with electrical or mechanical procedures that may have effect on the products being purchased
  • Support machine testing and skilfully apply welding techniques for related assembly and repair tasks
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal to relay the problem and solution to customers and management
Detailed Responsibilities
  • Perform hands‑on assembly of sub‑assemblies, parts, and machinery based on technical documentation using proper tools
  • Conduct quality checks on own and team assemblies to ensure compliance with standards
  • Troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve assembly errors, performing rework when necessary
  • Handle heavy modules/equipment safely with appropriate tools and ergonomic practices
  • Perform housekeeping, organize tools, and maintain work areas according to 5S and safety standards
  • Support testing of machines and assemblies using available test equipment (e.g., force gauge, torque screwdriver, measuring tools)
  • Collaborate with QA, R&D, and related departments to address issues and improve processes
  • Ensure proper documentation of assembly work, testing, and parts handling (including returns of excess parts and RMA reporting)
  • Participate in acceptance tests (IAT/FAT) and provide feedback on assembly improvements
  • Assist in the development of SOPs and procedural documents as part of continuous improvement
  • Respond to customer complaints
  • Evaluate and resolve problems of the customer
  • Assist in installing the equipment
  • Analyse, inspect and review findings to determine the solution to the problem that the customer demands
  • Offer customer training for the product
  • Repair, test and maintain equipment
  • Monitor performance of the product
  • Maintain product manuals
  • Provide customers with regular reports and feedback on their service requests
  • Develop and maintain relations with customers
  • Make recommendations to maintenance technicians
  • Offer feedback on product development, features and functions to our supplier/principals
  • Candidate must have good communication skills, problem‑solving skills, analytical, leadership & positive attitude
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Required to work overtime, on‑call and on weekend or public holidays as needed
  • Work in shifts or outside normal hours if required
Education Background
  • Candidate must possess at least a Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of Mechatronics / Electrical & Electronics engineering or equivalent
Working Experience
  • Have at least 1‑2 years of related working experience in engineering field
