Job summary

Job description

We are looking for a passionate and detail-driven Application Engineer to join our growing team in delivering professional Audio Visual (AV) solutions. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in AV system testing, technical support, or commissioning, with strong technical knowledge in AV system setup, basic networking, and system troubleshooting, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

This role requires a responsible, proactive, and detail‑oriented technical professional who can ensure system performance meets project specifications, deliver quality client training and support, and maintain accurate technical documentation while supporting successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

What you’ll be doing:
1. AV System Testing & Commissioning
  • Assist customers with on‑site system testing, commissioning, and project handover.
  • Verify audio quality, video performance, and control system functionality.
  • Conduct final system validation checks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during testing phases.
2. Client Training & Technical Support
  • Train end‑users on operating AV systems (meeting rooms, event spaces, digital signage).
  • Provide guidance on audio DSP interfaces, control panels, and video displays.
  • Prepare user guides and operational checklists.
  • Provide post‑installation technical support.
3. Technical Documentation & Quality Assurance
  • Review system designs and AutoCAD drawings before site deployment.
  • Document test results, issues identified, and solutions implemented.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure systems meet required standards.
  • Update project documentation and communicate progress to internal teams.
4. Programming & Configuration Support
  • Support basic control system programming and configuration.
  • Load and test control scripts (LUA / Python / logic‑based controls).
  • Configure and tune audio DSP settings based on room acoustics.
  • Set up LED displays, video walls, and signal routing.
5. Network & System Integration
  • Verify AV‑over‑IP system connectivity and performance (e.g. Dante, NDI).
  • Support integration between AV systems and client IT infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot network‑related AV issues (IP addressing, streaming, connectivity).
6. Remote & On‑Call Support
  • Provide remote troubleshooting support when required.
  • Support critical client events or system launches when needed.
What we’re looking for
  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering, IT, Audio Visual, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in AV testing, commissioning, or technical support.
  • Basic knowledge of audio‑video signal flow & IP networking.
  • Ability to read and interpret AV drawings (AutoCAD).
  • Strong troubleshooting & communication skills.
  • Knowledge of control programming (LUA/Python), Zoom/Teams setup, or AV platforms such as Q‑SYS, Biamp, Crestron, and Extron is an added advantage.
  • Willing to travel and support after working hours when required.
