Job summary

A leading animation pre-production studio located in Malaysia is seeking an Animatic / Offline Editor. The role entails assembling animatics with storyboard panels and audio, addressing revisions until the final version is locked, and compiling reviews for directors. Ideal candidates should have a high proficiency in Adobe Premiere and strong time-management skills. A Diploma or BA in Film or Animation is preferred. Animatic / Offline Editor (Film & Animation)

Established in 2002, Studio Climb is a pre‑production studio specializing in comprehensive design services such as conceptual illustrations, conceptual design services for character, environment, prop and matte painting.

Studio Climb also includes idea‑generation and visual development, storyboarding and directing for film, animated features and game cinematic services.

In 2013, TRANS PICTURES, a China‑incorporated company, was established by STUDIO CLIMB to partner with a China media industry; focusing on developing, producing and commercializing animation and live‑action movie projects. Apart from that, TRANSPICTURES owns as well as co‑owns its titles IP; produces titles for specific third parties and collaborates with international marketing and merchandising companies with the aim to increase its IP commercial value.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assembling animatics with storyboard panels, audio files, and applicable temporary sound effects, transitions, and camera moves.
  • Addressing revision notes for animatics from all review meetings up until the final animatic is locked and sent to the animation studio.
  • Compiling animation and composition lineups for director reviews.
  • Collaborating with Script Coordinator and Production Coordinators on creating scene breakdown reports and pickup line requests.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • A high proficiency and experience in Adobe Premiere.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of organisation.
  • Strong time‑management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and meet production deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to the shifting demands and priorities of the production.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and friendly personality.
  • Strong storytelling skills.
  • Diploma or BA in Film / Animation preferred, or equivalent experience and education.
