Job description

Overview

Develop/ enhance life insurance product in existing quotation applications for Android Platforms using Kotlin. Work on migrating legacy Java components to Kotlin while maintaining system stability. Understand user requirements and manage new project initiatives. Liaise with business users, vendors and other team members in providing effective IT services/support and ensuring quality deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full SDLC (Agile), including meetings, iterative development, estimations and design sessions.
• Ship quality software quickly and frequently.
• Active involvement in UAT/production support to ensure system availability and stability.
• Evaluate emerging technology and competitive solutions in tandem with business and company’s IT plans.
• Maintain high work standards, productivity level and deliver quality, as committed under the various company Quality initiatives.
• Ensure unit’s conformance to System Development Standard as defined by the Department. This includes understanding and using approved programming methodologies.
• Maintaining technical documentation, following coding standard and help the engineering team enforce good programming practices.
