Job Description Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Heat Treatment Technician to join our team. The Heat Treatment Technician will be responsible for applying heat treatment processes and high temperature furnace brazing process according to the approved work instructions. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of heat treatment techniques, equipment, and safety protocols, as well as the ability to ensure high‑quality results in line with technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up parts, thermocouples and operate heat treatment furnaces to specified temperatures and cooling rates by selecting the correct cycle according to the Work Instructions.
  • Monitor the heat treatment process to ensure that temperature, time, and other parameters are maintained according to guidelines.
  • Inspect components before and after treatment to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Inspect on the brazed honeycomb using videoscope and capillary inspection method.
  • Perform routine maintenance on heat treatment equipment, including checking for malfunctions and making necessary repairs.
  • Document heat treatment processes, including temperature data, treatment times, and inspection results for quality control and compliance purposes.
  • Work with engineering teams to develop and optimize heat treatment processes for new or customized parts.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed, including the proper handling of hot materials and adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Troubleshoot any issues related to the heat treatment process and provide solutions to prevent defects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage and handling of materials.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Heat Treatment Technician or in a similar heat treatment role.
  • Strong understanding of heat treatment processes (e.g., annealing, quenching, tempering) and their effects on material properties.
  • Knowledge of various heat treatment equipment such as furnaces, ovens, and quenching tanks.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and process guidelines.
  • Familiarity with quality control techniques, including hardness testing and microstructure analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring high-quality results.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good physical condition and manual dexterity to handle heavy materials and operate equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to heat treatment processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification or training in heat treatment processes or metallurgy.
  • Experience with computerized control systems for heat treatment equipment.
  • Background in materials science, metallurgy, or a related field.
  • Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing.
