A leading shopping mall operator in Malaysia is seeking a Marketing Executive to assist with advertising, event management, and tenant relations. The role requires strong coordination, communication skills, and a background in marketing. You'll plan and execute campaigns, manage vendor relationships, and support promotional activities. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of relevant experience and is proficient in Microsoft Office and design tools. This position may require working on weekends and public holidays.
Coordinate with creative agencies, media vendors, and production suppliers for all advertising and publicity materials (bunting, billboard, social media visuals, etc.).
Ensure brand identity and message consistency across all platforms and promotional materials.
Monitor and compile advertising and promotional spending against the approved budget.
Plan, organize, and execute festive campaigns, shopper reward programs, and community engagement events to attract visitors and increase sales.
Coordinate with tenants, event contractors, and performers for smooth execution of events.
Handle on-site event logistics, setup supervision, manpower arrangement, and crowd control.
Prepare event proposals, quotations, and post-event evaluation reports with photos and performance summaries.
Engage tenants to participate in mall-wide promotions, festive activities, and marketing collaborations.
Collects promotional materials, offers, and updates from tenants for use in mall marketing channels.
Maintain good working relationships with tenants and support them in joint marketing initiatives.
Assist in preparing press releases, media kits, and invitations for media coverage.
Liaise with media representatives and influencers to generate publicity for events and promotions.
Support the manager in handling media interviews, press coverage, and social content coordination.
Assist in creating and scheduling content for the mall’s social media pages and website.
Monitor online engagement, respond to public enquiries or comments where necessary.
Support digital campaigns, contests, and influencer collaborations to boost online visibility.
Prepare purchase requisitions, payment requests, and expense tracking for A&P activities.
Maintain proper records of all advertising and promotional materials, vendor details, and contracts.
Compile monthly marketing reports and maintain the event photo archive.
Support any ad-hoc assignments or promotional projects as required by management.
Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in marketing, events, or promotions (preferably in retail or shopping mall environment).
Strong coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Creative, organized, and able to multitask under tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) is an added advantage.
Willing to work on weekends, public holidays, or extended hours during events.
