Job Responsibilities

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process and managing the acquisition of goods and services for the company. This role involves identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials to meet organizational needs. You will collaborate with various departments to understand their requirements and develop effective procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Searching for available products and suppliers to find the best combination of quality, price, and delivery.
  2. Developing purchasing strategies and identifying buying trends to keep the business profitable.
  3. Comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers.
  4. Negotiating terms and pricing agreements.
  5. Reviewing and evaluating supplier/vendor performance.
  6. Following up on order delivery status and ensuring on-time delivery.
  7. Providing backup for the purchaser when necessary.
  8. Carrying out all necessary purchasing activities.
  9. Performing any tasks assigned by superiors from time to time.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum SPM/Diploma in any field.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and effective communication skills.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in related fields; fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Good understanding and communication skills with Mandarin-speaking customers/vendors.
  • Excellent time management skills for multitasking and managing additional projects.
  • Fast learner, independent worker, and a team-oriented attitude.
