The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing training programs for the global Ad Ops team, ensuring procedural excellence and platform mastery. With over 6 years of experience in digital media and extensive knowledge of major ad servers and DSPs, you will lead hands-on training sessions to improve efficiency and compliance. This position involves both virtual and in-person training across various time zones.

Title: Ad Operations Training Specialist (TL) (Contract)

Role Summary:

The Training Lead for Ad Operations is a senior subject matter expert responsible for ensuring the global Ad Ops team achieves procedural excellence and platform mastery. This role primarily focuses on workflow standardization, designing and delivering high-impact, hands‑on training sessions (not just content creation) that translate operational policies into practical, error‑free execution across all advertising platforms and systems. You will directly drive efficiency and quality improvements by closing critical knowledge and skill gaps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Training Program Ownership: Own the global training strategy for all Ad Operations functions, aligning directly with operational goals for efficiency, compliance, and quality.
  • Workflow Standardization & SOP Governance: Design, author, and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and job aids related to the end-to-end campaign lifecycle (media plan review, trafficking, QA, reporting). Ensure global adherence to these workflows.
  • Platform Proficiency and Certification: Design and lead hands‑on, live training sessions for specialists on advanced platform features, configuration best practices, and troubleshooting in: DSPs: DV360, TTD, Yahoo DSP, Amazon DSP setup and optimization workflows.
  • Proprietary Systems: Training in the unique workflows, tools, and compliance standards specific to the customer's proprietary ad platforms.
  • Process Tool Training: Develop and deliver mandatory training on the correct usage of workflow and CRM tools, specifically how to use Jira for task management, issue tracking, and Salesforce for order creation and data entry.
  • Performance-Driven Training: Partner with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Operations teams to assess training needs based on root cause analysis (RCA) of recurring operational errors (e.g., discrepancies, pacing risks, failed QA checks).
  • Technical Format Training: Deliver specialized training on the technical requirements for complex formats, including VAST/VPAID implementation, CTV/OTT trafficking, and rich media setup.
  • Global Delivery: Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions across different time zones to support the 24/7 global operations.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in Digital Media or Ad Tech, with a significant background in Ad Operations, Trafficking, or Technical Account Management.
  • Deep Ad Ops Expertise: Expert-level, current, hands‑on working knowledge of major Ad Servers (GAM) and DSPs (DV360/TTD).
  • Procedural Documentation: Proven ability to create clear, accurate, and easily digestible operational documentation (SOPs, flow charts, checklists) for a global technical audience.
  • Coaching and Facilitation: Excellent presentation, public speaking, and coaching skills. Must be comfortable, leading complex, interactive training sessions for both new hires and experienced staff.
  • Workflow Tools: Strong practical experience using Jira and/or similar project management tools to map and manage complex operational workflows.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to quickly analyze operational performance data and translate specific issues into effective training interventions.
