Job summary

A local accounting firm based in Malaysia is seeking an experienced candidate to manage a full set of accounts. Responsibilities include liaising with auditors and tax agents, and ensuring accurate transactions are recorded. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma in Accounting, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, and be proficient in accounting software such as SQL. Fluency in Mandarin is required to communicate with clients, alongside English language skills preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years relevant working experience in similar capacity or at least 2 years in an audit firm.
  • Knowledge in accounting and taxation (FRS, Income Tax Act, Companies Act) is an advantage.
  • Ability to deliver timely and accurate reporting under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible handling of full set of accounts.
  • Liaise with auditor, tax agent, and company secretaries.
  • Ensure accurate transactions are recorded in the accounting system.

Job description

Responsible handling of full set of accounts.

Liaise with auditor, tax agent, company secretaries and other relevant authorities on their respective manners.

Familiar with SQL Accounting System or any accounting system.

Ensure accurate transactions are properly recorded and entered into the accounting system.

Maintain efficient filing systems for audit and statutory requirement.

Processing of account receivables (billing and collection).

Processing of account payables, including issuing payments to vendors.

Any other duties assigned from time to time by the Management.

Requirements
  • Candidate should possess a Diploma in Accounting [LCCI or from local colleges] or partial professional accountancy qualification;
  • 3years relevant working experience or more in similar capacity or with at least 2 years in an audit firm;
  • Proficient in Accounting Software [SQL], Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Knowledge in accounting and taxation (FRS, Income Tax Act, Companies Act) will be an added advantage;
  • Ability to work under pressure to deliver timely and accurate reporting within a tight timeframe;
  • Strong analytical and planning skills with an eye for details;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients, ability to converse in English will be an added advantage.
