Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Malaysia is seeking an Accounting professional responsible for handling daily financial functions including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries. The ideal candidate should possess at least a Diploma in Finance/Accounting and a minimum of 2 years of experience. Strong Excel skills and the ability to communicate in English are essential. This position is based in Puncak Alam and offers a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience; freshers are encouraged to apply.
  • Responsible and committed with problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of LC and financing instruments is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare and process various transactions and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparation and payment of corporate taxes and financial reports.

Job description

To handle day to day accounting functions of Account Payable, Account Receivable and General Ledger of the Company and its related company.

Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records.

Monthly Bank Reconciliation

Handle Petty cash.

Process Directors and staff claims.

Ensure proper filing of all documents.

Prepare and process manual and electronic transfers and payments and ensure all records are up to date.

Maintain Fixed Asset Register.

Stock Control and month end stock valuation

Create and Maintain various schedules for Reconciliation of Balance Sheet items.

Assist in preparation and payment of direct and indirect taxes such as corporate tax prepayment, SST, GST and VAT returns.

Assist in monthly in preparation of financial and management reports and Annual Financial and Tax audits.

Minimum travelling involved.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Degree in Finance/Accounting , LCCI or equivalent with relevant experience.

At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field but Freshers are also encouraged to apply ..

Responsible, committed and able to resolve issues and discrepancies independently.

Should be able to fill in bank forms and prepare cheques.

Knowledge of LC and financing instruments like BA, TR etc.is desirable

Possess good Excel skills.

Able to converse well in English as the job involves communication with Banks and occasionally Foreign Clients.

Location: Puncak Alam

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
