Shimizu Corporation is seeking an experienced Accounts Executive to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing various accounts payable functions and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be crucial in supporting the overall financial operations of the company.
Report to Administration Manager.
Manage end-to-end accounts payable: process vendor invoices, prepare and issue payments (cheques/receipts/journals), and ensure timely, accurate settlement.
Maintain AP ledgers and supporting documentation, reconcile balances, and liaise with vendors to resolve discrepancies.
Issue invoices and official receipts, and support AR/AP and joint venture account administration.
Maintain the daily cash book and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Ensure proper filing, record‑keeping, and document control, and assist with audits and tax filings.
Distribute monthly ledgers (MYR and JPY) to project site offices.
Update contract reports, project cash flow, and cost control data; assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
Implement QESH policies and execute actions from risk/opportunity assessments.
Perform ad‑hoc tasks assigned by superiors.
Minimum 2 years’ accounting experience, preferably in construction or project environments.
Strong attention to detail and deadlines.
Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Good communication skills; able to coordinate with site and HQ stakeholders.
Integrity, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills.
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
