Job summary

A leading interior design firm in Selangor is seeking a skilled individual to manage basic accounting and administrative tasks. This role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, liaising with auditors, and handling payroll and HR matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience, proficiency in accounting software, and strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in accounting within the interior architecture or construction industries.
  • At least 3 years in accounts, admin, or purchasing roles.
  • Competency in full set of accounts and management reports.

Responsibilities

  • Manage basic accounts and administrative tasks.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions and month-end closing.
  • Ensure timely production of P & L statements.
  • Liaise with auditors and tax agents for compliance.
  • Control cash flow and handle payroll matters.

Job Responsibilities
  • To handle basic accounts and others administration tasks
  • Knowledge and experience using SQL Accounting
  • Responsible in day-to-day operation of overall accounting functions which includes month end closing, reviewing and reconciliations of fixed assets register, cash book, account receivable, account payable, etc.
  • Ensure completion of General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations and production of the P & L statements on timely manner.
  • Liaise with auditor, tax agent, company secretary for annual audits, statutory filing in accordance with the accounting standards, tax and banking requirements.
  • Able to control cash flow.
  • Experience in costings
  • Handle recruitment, which include create job posting, phone screening candidate, and recommend candidates to managers for interview.
  • To assist issue appointment letter, confirmation, termination and resignation letter.
  • Handle HR matters (staff attendance, leave/ medical or other claims)
  • Handle staff payroll which includes EPF, Socso, PCB & HRDF prepare EA form and Form E submission & etc
  • Handle purchasing and shipment coordination
  • Additional tasks assigned
  • For these non accounts but admin or others business background. Training will be provided.
Qualifications & Experience
  • At least 3 years of working experience in interior architecture product, interior construction, projects industry in accounts, admin, purchasing department.
  • LCCI, CAT, Tar College Diploma or Degree in Accounting (encourage to apply), ACCA (Partial or complete), business or related.
  • Required Skill(s) : Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel & SQL Accounting and Payroll System.
  • Competency in full set of accounts, accounting software,billing, debtor, payroll, management reports and imports.
  • Able to work independently, self motivated and willing to learn.
  • Able to communicate well (written/verbally).
  • Able to converse in English, Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin and Cantonese
