Job Description

The Accounting Specialist is handling all Accounting activities of the FEC. This include various tasks which are the basis for Corporate and statutory reporting as well as legal requirements. He/she acts for specific topics as a contact for the Controlling departments of Branded Consumer, Food Solutions, Food Ingredients and Operations (MU’s), local HR, local Tax people as well as Corporate functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to the Accounting Manager with tasks such as accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL) and bank reconciliations, financial analysis, month end closing, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Assist MSU and MU with accounting activities.
• Assist in statutory Audit matters and sales tax reporting submission.
• Liaise with external service provider for relevant outsourced accounting activities.
• Review accounts ledgers and statement of reconciliation, address inquiries, and resolve discrepancies related to invoices and payments to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Monitor outstanding payments, perform statement reconciliations, and communicate with customers to facilitate smooth payment collection.
• Maintain consistent and timely work practices.
• Executes ad-hoc task/analyses for business needs and/or pro-actively.
• Maintain fully compliance to internal control framework.

Here's What We're Looking For

• Academic Program: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, or related field preferred (or related field).
• Experienced: At least 2-5 years in professional experience.
• Skillset:
  • Working experience with relevant controlling background.
• Knowledge of IFRS and on compliance.
• Knowledge of SAPR3 and SAP BPC preferred
• Knowledge on statutory reporting and regulations requirements
• Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
