Job summary

A leading recruitment platform in Malaysia is seeking an experienced accounting professional to prepare financial statements, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing background, and solid knowledge of e-invoicing. Responsibilities include coordinating with teams and providing financial insights. Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is prioritized, making this a dynamic role with significant leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in Singapore IRAS & Malaysia MySST compliance.
  • Mandarin/Cantonese language proficiency is prioritized.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Perform month-end variance analysis accurately.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of accounting professionals.

Job description

Preparing financial statements (full set accounts), budgets. and forecasts;

Performing month-end variance analysis in a timely and accurate manner;

Monitoring cash flow and working capital;

Implementing e-invoicing in compliance with the regulations in Malaysia;

Handling ad hoc assignments as required;

Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies; and

Liaising with external advisers including auditors, tax representatives and professionals regarding audit, tax and other relevant matters.

Lead and mentor a small team of accounting professionals;

Foster a collaborative and results-driven working environment;

Co-ordinate with operation and internal IT teams on daily operations for problem solving; and

Collaborate with internal departments to support strategic decision-making and provide financial insights and recommendations.

Requirements

Minimum 8 years working experience, with Manufacturing background is an advantage.

Solid experience in Singapore IRAS & Malaysia MySST compliance is an advantage.

E-invoicing knowledge is Mandatory.

Out-going, independent, self-motivated, strong interpersonal and communication skills, can work under pressure.

Mandarin/Cantonese speakers are prioritized.
