  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
  • Ensure timely preparation of management accounts.
  • Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external and internal auditors.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant (6-Months Contract) to support the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions. In this role, you will be responsible for general ledger accounting, month-end and year-end reporting, financial analysis, and audit support, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in line with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.

Working closely with the Senior Manager and cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting critical reporting activities. If you’re ready to contribute your expertise in a fast-paced setting, we’d love to hear from you.

Here\'s How You Will Add Value:

Financial Accounting & General Ledger
  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure transactions are recorded accurately in compliance with MFRS/IFRS and company policies, specifically MFRS 15 Revenue Recognition.
  • Monitor and review balance sheet schedules for accuracy and completeness.
Financial Reporting
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
  • Provide variance analysis and commentary for management reporting.
  • Consolidate financial information from different entities/business units if required.
Month-End & Year-End Closing
  • Support the month-end closing process by preparing accruals, provisions, and adjusting entries.
  • Ensure timely preparation of management accounts and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in statutory reporting and liaise with auditors on audit requirements.
Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Ensures the Delegation of Authority (“DOA”) is adhered to for approvals required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit and statutory purposes.
Audit & Internal Controls
  • Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external and internal auditors.
  • Support improvements in financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.

What you\'ll need to succeed:

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MICPA) or progress toward certification is an advantage.
Work Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit.
  • Experience in a public listed company or audit firm is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
  • Solid knowledge of accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (SAP is a plus).
