Job description

Oversee and manage general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.

Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts.

Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other statutory requirements.

Handle tax matters including SST, income tax and other regulatory filings with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN).

Liaise with auditors, tax consultants and other relevant regulatory bodies.

Monitor and improve accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency.

Conduct estate visits for financial reviews, inventory verification and operational audits.

Support the management team with strategic financial planning and analysis.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is a must.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the oil palm sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as SAP is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing and able to travel to estates regularly.
