Job Responsibilities
- Verify original accounting documents, prepare accounting entries, maintain general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers.
- Complete monthly closing procedures and compile financial statements (Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Profit or Loss, Statement of Cash Flows).
- Liaise with local accounting firms, providing necessary financial data and invoicing information as required.
Tax Compliance
- Handle monthly/quarterly/annual tax filings for income tax and indirect taxes (e.g., Sales and Service Tax, SST).
- Proactively monitor and communicate updates on Malaysian tax regulations and policy changes.
- Lead the preparation of local mandatory tax reports and assist in responding to tax audits and inquiries from the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB).
Audit & Regulatory Compliance
- Collaborate with audit firms to complete annual statutory audits and group audits.
- Ensure all financial practices adhere to Malaysian laws and regulations.
- Organize and archive monthly closing documents, tax filing materials, and audit working papers.
Financial Reporting & Budget
- Provide financial data and analysis reports in accordance with HQ requirements.
- Participate in annual budget preparation, financial analysis initiatives, and other tasks assigned by the group.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting /Finance or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years working experience as Accountant.
- Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia can be used as working language.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-driven for performance, aggressive, work dynamic, innovative and result-oriented team player.
- Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office.
- Able to start immediately will be an advantage.
