As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for new sales, customer engagement activities. You will build relationships with our customers to identify future opportunities and successfully negotiate and close deals. You will highlight risks and opportunities to the business and shape the use of data‑driven decision making.
The Clinical Solutions Account Manager (Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei) will be a key member of the SEA team helping to drive growth for our Health business in the region. The major focus area will be New Business generation.
Own and drive growth in our electronic sales business in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei via new customer acquisition for our portfolio of e‑Sales products (e.g. ClinicalKey Physician, ClinicalKey AI, ClinicalKey Nursing, ClinicalKey Student, Amirsys, Complete Anatomy, Osmosis), across the academic (i.e. medical and nursing schools) and clinical (i.e. hospitals, clinics) market segments.
Managing entire sales process to position Elsevier Health Science Solutions with an emphasis on new business sales.
Contribute to developing a strong country marketing plan for Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei to drive thought leadership, brand awareness and product marketing, alongside the SEA Marketing and Customer Engagement team.
Develop an in‑depth understanding of market and competitor trends, evaluate their impact on our business in Thailand & Vietnam, and recommend actions where needed to address these market developments.
Support the Regional Manager (SEA) in strategizing, planning and executing for future business growth in Thailand & Vietnam, including exploring opportunities to extend into new market segments, channels and sub‑regions.
Demonstrate product value and drive usage within the existing customer base to drive retention and uplift in our renewal business in Thailand, working both directly and through our authorized sales agent(s) as well as our Elsevier Customer Engagement, Customer Support and Product Sales teams.
Minimum bachelor’s degree with strong academic track record.
5‑8 years experience in a sales, channel management and/or business development role. Strong sales record selling solutions into medical & nursing education and/or hospital segments will be a plus.
Experience with managing agents/distributors and driving product usage among customers will be desirable.
Fluency in English both written and spoken, with strong communication and presentation skills. Analytical thinker with ability to effectively appraise market situation and identify and implement innovative approaches to match the market needs.
Be highly motivated with the capacity to work under pressure, with tight deadlines while maintaining high standards and able to multi‑task.
