A leading service provider in oil and gas based in Johor is looking for a Commercial/Business Development Manager. In this role, you will enhance customer relationships, drive new business opportunities, and manage market research to support the growth of the company's terminals business. Candidates should have a degree, deep knowledge of terminal operations, and at least 4 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas sector.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience in bulk liquid terminals or oil & gas plant or refinery.

Job Purpose

Drive the commercial and business development activities of the Dialog Group Terminals business to achieve its long-term goal of becoming a major player in the bulk liquid terminal storage industry.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers by addressing their business needs and ensuring high service satisfaction.
  • Establish good rapport and relationships with internal stakeholders to promote strong team spirit and functional support.
  • Proactively engage with existing customers to gather feedback and insights, delivering exceptional service experiences to ensure customer retention.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, ensuring the Terminals business remains competitive.
  • Document customer interactions and market insights in detailed call reports.
  • Generate and pursue new business opportunities by identifying and securing leads from both current and prospective customers requiring storage and service solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support business development projects and initiatives for the Terminals business.
  • Collaborate with the customer service department to address and resolve feedback or concerns regarding service delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve customer complaints, including collaborating with legal and finance teams on contractual and financial matters.
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals, leading negotiations with both new and existing customers to finalize agreements.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of GTC clauses during contract negotiations.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of contract agreements.
  • Deliver impactful presentations to customers, proactively offering effective business solutions and emphasizing the Terminals’ value propositions.
  • Drive revenue growth through the development of new business opportunities (e.g., value-added services) and the expansion of new and existing contracts.
  • Support the implementation of commercial strategies rolled out by the Terminals business.
