A business management consultancy seeks a Finance Manager in Iskandar Puteri, Malaysia. The successful candidate will manage full sets of accounts, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Applicants must have at least 5 years' experience, relevant certifications (ACCA, CPA), and excellent communication skills in Mandarin and English to interact with their Singapore and Europe teams. Report to Singapore & Europe team
Key Responsibilities:
Full Set of Accounts: Maintain and manage AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliation. Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
Inventory & Costing: Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, and reconciliation. Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate stock reporting.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management reports, financial statements, and variance analysis. Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Responsible for Payroll, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Compliance & Taxation: Ensure timely submission tax and other statutory filings. Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
Import/Export Documentation & Costing: Verify and record import/export-related expenses (e.g., freight, duties, insurance).
Cash Flow & Treasury: Monitor cash flow, manage banking facilities, and support treasury functions including forex and payment processing.
Support daily accounting/administrative tasks and Ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Team Collaboration: Guide junior staff, review postings, and ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards.
Requirements:
Must have Professional certifications (e.g. ACCA, ICAEW, CPA)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining full sets of accounts
Preferably experience in manufacturing/trading with import/export exposure
Proficiency in accounting software AutoCount
Strong understanding of local accounting standards, Malaysia income tax act, employment law, including MFRS, SST & E-invoice.
Experience in E-Invoice Implementation will be advantage.
Excellent communication skills in Mandarin & English to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and reporting to Singapore & Europe Management Team
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
