Job summary

A leading tech-entertainment firm is seeking a Junior Account Executive / Account Assistant in Puchong, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, and will manage financial documentation through tasks like preparing invoices and performing data entry. Proficiency in Mandarin and English is essential for collaboration with regional teams. Fresh graduates or candidates with basic experience will be considered. Immediate availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process daily invoices, payment vouchers, and credit notes.
  • Perform day-to-day data entry for receipts, payments, and bank transactions.
  • Assist in verifying supplier invoices and ensuring timely payment processing.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on collections.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and ledgers.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain organized filing system for financial records.
  • Assist in preparing financial data for regional reporting.

Account Executive (Junior) / Account Assistant

Educational Background: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification.

Experience Level: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, or candidates with 1–2 years of experience in basic bookkeeping/accounting.

Technical Skills: Good command of Microsoft Excel (vlookup, basic formulas).

Familiarity with accounting software (AutoCount, SQL, or similar) is an added advantage.

Language Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin and English is required as you will assist the Senior in preparing documents and records for our regional stakeholders and directors in Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Core Competencies: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling high-volume data entry.

Ability to work under pressure to meet month-end closing deadlines.

Proactive attitude and willingness to learn VSING’s unique tech-entertainment business model.

Availability: Candidates who are immediately available or have a short notice period will be given priority to facilitate the handover process.

Location: Must be able to work on-site at our Puchong office.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Documentation: Prepare and process daily invoices, payment vouchers, and credit notes with high accuracy.
  • Transaction Recording: Perform day-to-day data entry of receipts, payments, and bank transactions into the accounting system.
  • Accounts Payable (AP): Assist in verifying supplier invoices against purchase orders and ensuring timely processing of payments.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Assist in monitoring outstanding balances and following up on collections from various branches.
  • Bank & Statement Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and supplier/customer ledger balances.
  • Month-End Support: Support the Senior Account Executive in month-end and year-end closing activities to meet tight deadlines.
  • Document Management: Maintain a systematic and organized filing system for all financial records to ensure they are "audit-ready" at all times.
  • Regional Admin Support: Assist in preparing and organizing financial data required for reporting to the Hong Kong and Taiwan regional teams.
  • General Ad-hoc Tasks: Undertake any other finance-related administrative duties as assigned by the Senior or Management.
