Tijarah Holding Ltd is a progressive and innovation-driven investment holding company with active operations in fintech, digital exchange platforms, and financial training ecosystems. As our business continues to expand across multiple jurisdictions, we are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Account Executive to support and strengthen our finance operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.

Role Summary

The Account Executive will support and manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and statutory compliance. This role is suitable for candidates with solid accounting fundamentals, hands-on experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated fintech environment. The position offers growth exposure across full-spectrum accounting, audits, and financial management.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance Operations
  • Handle daily accounting activities including data entry, invoicing, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, staff claims, petty cash, and payment processing.
  • Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor and record multi-currency transactions in accordance with internal policies.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis.
  • Assist in cash flow monitoring, budget tracking, and expense control.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable standards.
Tax, Audit & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian statutory and tax requirements, including SST, corporate tax, and withholding tax.
  • Assist during internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to audit queries.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, vendors, and regulatory bodies when required.
  • Ensure proper documentation and digital record-keeping in line with SOPs and compliance standards.
Coordination & Support
  • Work closely with senior accountants, finance managers, and cross-functional teams on financial matters.
  • Support ad hoc finance projects, system improvements, and process enhancements.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems such as SQL, Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance.
  • Experience handling multi-currency accounting is an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience in fintech, digital platforms, startups, or fast-paced environments.
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, MIA) or currently pursuing is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
