Job description

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our growing team at Heap Wah Barakah Sdn Bhd. As an Account Executive, you are responsible for managing the full set of accounts and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial transactions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage full sets of accounts independently, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and ensure records are tidy, accurate, and up to date.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Review reconciliations, adjustments, and ensure timely follow ups.
• Review and process supplier invoices, staff claims, and payments with complete documentation.
• Prepare payment runs and ensure approvals are properly tracked.
• Issue client invoices and follow up on collections.
• Maintain AR/AP ageing reports and keep things organized for easy tracking.

Cash Flow & Bank Management

Liaise with banks on payments, deposits, and account matters.

Compliance & Reporting

Liaise with auditors and tax agents to ensure a smooth audit and compliance process.

Maintain clean and audit-ready documentation at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years’ accounting experience, preferably in a plumbing/trading related industry.
• Minimum Diploma in Accounting/Finance, or related field.
• Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia for communication with internal teams and external partners. Able to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting and Malaysian tax regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as SQL, or equivalents.

Work Schedule

• 5.5 days per week (Alternate Saturday)
• Monday to Friday (8.30 AM - 5.00 PM)
• Saturday (Alternate) (8.30 AM - 2.00 PM)
