Job summary

A leading recruitment platform in Malaysia is seeking an Account Executive to manage daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in retail. Responsibilities include handling full sets of accounts, preparing financial reports, and managing invoicing. Proficiency in AutoCount and Microsoft Excel is required. Job description

The Account Executive is responsible for managing daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial records for the company. This role supports the finance function by handling accounts, preparing reports, monitoring transactions, and assisting with compliance matters. The position is well‑suited for a detail‑oriented individual with basic accounting knowledge, preferably with experience in retail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle full set of accounts including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL)
  • Accountable for monthly reporting of task and work progress to senior accountant.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, journals, and account reconciliation
  • Manage invoicing, payment processing, and collection follow‑ups
  • Maintain proper accounting records and filing system
  • Assist in stock costing, inventory control, and retail sales reconciliation
  • Prepare SST submissions and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities
  • Support daily accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Job Requirement:
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in accounting (retail experience is an advantage)
  • Familiar with accounting software (AutoCount/SQL) and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of basic SST and Malaysian accounting standards
  • Strong attention to detail, responsible, and able to meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
