Assistant Manager - Accounting & Corporate Advisory

About the Role:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll assist in managing the Accounting Department for the SEA region and provide timely, accurate financial reports to support strategic business decisions. This is a well-rounded accounting and advisory role, with the added opportunity to contribute to corporate structuring and exploratory IPO-related planning.

This position is based in our KL office with a hybrid work model available.

Candidates with experience in Shared Services Unit, BPO agencies, Fintech, or Web 3.0 sectors, and those with IPO or listing preparation experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide the accounting team across daily operations (AP, AR, CC, GL), monthly/annual closing, and reporting.
  • Review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Support in financial planning and analysis, including preparing financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance analysis.
  • Manage audits, cash flow, and bank reconciliations.
  • Drive improvements in workflows, internal controls, and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and strategic decisions.
  • Report directly to CFO and engage with senior leadership on finance matters.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional certification (ACCA/CPA/ICAEW).
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English & Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Familiarity with listing processes or having participated in IPO-related projects is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
