Job summary

A leading food company based in Malaysia seeks an accounting assistant to support daily operations including data entry, invoices, and bank reconciliations. Job description

Assist in daily accounting operations, including data entry, filing, and document management.

Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) entries and ensure timely updates.

Prepare and issue invoices, payment vouchers, and receipts.

Assist in bank reconciliations and petty cash management.

Support month-end closing and financial reporting activities.

Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.

Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments on accounting-related matters.

Assist in audit, tax filing, and other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

1–2 years of relevant working experience.

Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Experience using accounting software e.g. Auto Count is an added advantage.

Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization skills.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good communication skills and a positive working attitude.
