Job summary

A leading industrial firm in Johor Bahru is seeking an accounts officer to manage accounts payable and receivable tasks. Responsibilities include recording transactions, preparing invoices, and assisting with audits. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance, proficiency in Mandarin is a plus, and must possess good communication skills and be detail-oriented. Knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is key for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Record and update accounts payable transactions.
  • Prepare and process Payment Vouchers.
  • Maintain invoice and payment records.
  • Prepare and send out sales invoices.
  • Record and update accounts receivable transactions.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Reconcile customer accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
  • Support audits and prepare documentation.
  • Perform data entry and maintain financial records.
  • Handle administrative tasks (photocopying, scanning, filing).
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required.
