Job summary

A financial consultancy in Johor Bahru is seeking an Account and Tax Assistant to support accounting and finance activities. Responsibilities include handling account payables and receivables, maintaining accounting records, and preparing tax computations. Ideal candidates should have a degree or diploma in accounting or finance, with good communication skills and proficiency in MS Office. This role is suitable for both fresh graduates and experienced professionals.

Qualifications

  • Possess or currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in account payables including invoice matching and preparation of payment.
  • Assist in account receivables including monthly sales reconciliation.
  • Maintain and update monthly accounting journals and ledgers.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and SST / GST filing.
  • Provide support in accounting and finance activities as assigned.

Skills

Good written and oral communication skills in English
Computer proficiency in MS Office Application

Account and Tax Assistant / Executive / Senior (Based in JB / Cheras KL)

Assist in account payables including invoice matching, creditors’ reconciliation, preparation of payment and etc.

Assist in account receivables including monthly sales reconciliation and etc.

Assist in maintaining and updating monthly accounting journals, ledgers and other accounting records.

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, SST / GST filing.

To provide support in the areas of accounting and finance activities as assigned.

To prepare tax computation.

Assist Manager in handling Client’s Portfolios and other adhoc duties as assigned by Manager

To advise clients on matters related to annual compliance to ensure service delivered to clients are up to certain standards with supervision.

Job Requirement
  • Fresh graduates / experienced candidates with Degree / Diploma in related disciplines such as Accounting / Finance / ACCA or equivalent are welcome to apply;
  • Possess or currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification;
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Application;
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English;
  • Independent, self-motivated and energetic team player;
