Job summary

A fast-growing mining & exploration group in Malaysia is seeking an ACCA-qualified Finance Manager to lead the finance function. This foundational role involves setting up processes, managing end-to-end finance operations, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Key responsibilities include preparing monthly management accounts, overseeing daily operations, and coordinating with the UK finance team. Ideal candidates possess strong knowledge of accounting standards and excellent communication skills to liaise with international stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sole contributor or finance setup role is a strong plus.
• Independent, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing end-to-end functions.
• Experience working with UK entities or multinational setups is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage the full spectrum of accounting & finance for the Malaysia entity.
• Transition accounts from external providers to an internal function.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and analysis for the UK CFO.
