About the role of PBX (Telephone Operator):

To professionally and efficiently handle incoming calls, assist guests with reservations, provide accurate information about the resort’s services and availability, and support the reservations team to ensure smooth, high-quality guest service.

What you will do:

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously, following resort etiquette.
  • Handle reservation inquiries, providing information on room types, rates, availability, packages, and promotions.
  • Transfer calls to appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Input and update reservations in the system.
  • Respond to guest questions regarding resort services, amenities, and policies.
  • Assist with reservation confirmations, modifications, or cancellations.
  • Follow up on guest requests or unresolved inquiries.
  • Ensure all communication is clear, professional, and guest-oriented.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with reservations and front desk teams during peak hours.

What you bring:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred: degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or related fields).
  • Experience: At least 6 months in a similar role, preferably in hospitality.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish (additional languages are a plus).
  • Skills: Excellent verbal communication, active listening, customer service, multitasking, and computer skills.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with reservation software (PMS systems like Opera, Protel, or similar) is advantageous.
