A Senior Platform Engineer is a software developer who specializes in enabling the development, build, test, deploy, and release of changes to enterprise applications delivered to market. This role emphasizes frequent, automated deployments with high uptime and low error rates. Our product includes a dynamic virtual platform and its resources: an automated software factory, logistics and utilities, a digital showroom, and consumer feedback loops. Our customers span the entire IT organization, including our own teams.

• Gain familiarity with a suite of custom accelerators, including continuously tested and delivered infrastructure, pipeline, and policy as code.
• Develop event-driven functions, APIs, backend services, command language interfaces, and self-service developer portals.
• Ensure code quality through unit, security, governance, and functional testing using appropriate frameworks.
• Contribute to customizing and deploying the delivery platform to enable rapid value creation for application developers.

• 1+ years coding in Python, TypeScript, or Go (Golang).
• 1+ years scripting experience in Bash or PowerShell.
• 4+ years of networking experience (security, DNS, VPN, Cloud, load balancing).
• 4+ years of systems administration experience with at least one operating system (Linux or Windows).
• 1+ years of experience with one of the following public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficient in creating and managing infrastructure through code using Terraform; develop and maintain scripts for deploying and configuring resources consistently across environments.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Kubernetes clusters for managing containerized applications and Docker; familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Registry (ACR).
• Cloud Services: Utilize Azure services including ACR, PostgreSQL, and App Configuration; integrate with Azure DevOps (ADO) for streamlined development.
• CI/CD Automation: Set up automated workflows for CI/CD using Azure Pipelines; ensure secure deployments through automation best practices.
• Application Onboarding: Design and automate onboarding of applications, ensuring compliance with standards; collaborate with developers for production transitions.
• Database Deployment Automation: Architect and implement automated database deployments ensuring data integrity.
• Monitoring and Reporting Automation: Develop automated scripts and tools for real-time monitoring and reporting.
• Self-Service Capability Development: Build self-service solutions that empower teams while maintaining governance compliance.
• Cloud Technology Expertise: Lead onboarding of applications and services in cloud environments (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
• Release Engineering Leadership: Oversee and lead release engineering activities for smooth code releases.
