Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Cloud Engineer - AWS IoT to join our team in Jalisco, Guadalajara, MX, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN). The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on the design, development and testing of technical solutions.
  • Utilize strong coding and scripting skills to re-engineer, automate and streamline business processes for clients.
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot virtual servers and network issues.
  • Ensure proper code documentation is completed.
  • Participate in project kick-off calls and solution delivery handoff meetings.
  • Build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure across platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Implement cloud security controls including firewalls, IAM policies, encryption, and secure networking.
  • Automate cloud deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation with security embedded.
  • Monitor cloud environments for threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance violations using SIEM and cloud-native tools.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud operations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001) in cloud configurations.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing of cloud resources.
  • Respond to cloud security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing remediation strategies.
  • Keep cloud systems updated with the latest patches and security enhancements.
  • Educate teams on secure cloud practices, promoting a DevSecOps culture.
Professional Expectations
  • Understand one's own area in depth and manage projects with oversight from their supervisor.
  • Act as the technical owner of multiple modules within the Cloud Solution system.
  • Analyze and recommend solutions and technology to achieve clients’ needs.
  • Lead the design and development of at least one module: Asset, Accelerator, Point Solution or Differentiator, for owned Business Area.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
  • Proficiency in one or more cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration in cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate).
  • Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus).
  • Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
