The Role

LAB49 is currently seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a primary focus on back-end development: C#/.NET based in Mexico City.This is a unique opportunity to elevate your career with an unparalleled experience in one of the world's most dynamic business hubs.

As a Software Engineer at LAB49, you will be at the forefront of driving transformative change for our esteemed Financial Services clients. Operating within an Agile environment, you will tackle complex projects, leveraging your experience to design and build innovative technology solutions.

• Design and develop software solutions using C#/.NET
• Prioritize high code quality, scalability, reliability, and security
• Build, deploy, and maintain applications, microservices, and data pipelines across platforms
• Create APIs for front-end and third-party integrations
• Engage with clients in project-based settings, working in focused, self-organizing teams to deliver solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into efficient solutions
• Maintain a positive attitude and determination to succeed despite challenges

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with C#/.NET development
• 6+ years of SQL experience
• Experience with multi-tier architectures
• Proficiency with modern C# and functional programming features
• Strong understanding of software design and development methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience with modern front-end technologies is a plus
• Interest and knowledge of global financial markets and products
• Excellent spoken and written English skills
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Availability to work in Mexico City at least 1 day per week (or more depending on project needs)

• Experience with Python is beneficial
