We are looking for a Big Data Quantitative Scientist to join our market-making team.

In this role, you will:

1. Data Acquisition & Management
   • Source, aggregate, and manage large-scale datasets, including alternative data sources (e.g., social media, blockchain explorers, economic indicators).
   • Ensure data integrity and quality through validation, cleaning, and normalization processes.
2. Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA)
   • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and relationships in market and alternative datasets.
   • Visualize data to uncover insights and support hypothesis generation.
3. Model Development
   • Design, implement, and optimize predictive models using statistical, machine learning, and deep learning techniques for tasks like price forecasting and anomaly detection.
   • Experiment with architectures such as ARIMA, LSTM, transformers, and feature engineering.
4. Backtesting & Validation
   • Develop frameworks to evaluate model performance on historical data.
   • Perform out-of-sample testing and cross-validation to ensure robustness.
5. Real-Time Analytics & Deployment
   • Build pipelines for real-time data ingestion, inference, and signal generation.
   • Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production environments.
6. Performance Monitoring & Optimization
   • Monitor and analyze model performance, retrain and recalibrate as needed.
   • Optimize for latency, scalability, and accuracy.
7. Collaboration & Communication
   • Work with researchers, traders, engineers, and product managers to translate needs into solutions.
   • Present findings and insights to diverse stakeholders.
8. Research & Innovation
   • Stay updated on AI/ML, finance, and blockchain analytics advancements.
   • Propose innovative approaches to improve strategies.
9. Documentation & Compliance
   • Document data sources, models, and code for reproducibility and compliance.
   • Adhere to data privacy and security standards.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Statistics, Math, Financial Engineering, Data Science, or related; experience in big data analytics, preferably in financial markets.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch), R, SQL/NoSQL, big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), API integration, version control (Git).
• Financial Domain Knowledge: Understanding of financial markets, especially forex and crypto; trading strategies, microstructure, risk management.
• Quantitative Skills: Strong in statistics, probability, time-series analysis, econometrics; experience with feature selection, dimensionality reduction, interpretability.
• Soft Skills: Problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, independence, teamwork, attention to detail, proactive learning.
• Preferred Skills: Blockchain analytics, reinforcement learning, NLP, MLOps, alternative data sources.
