Job Responsibilities:
· Design and prototype API specifications for provisioning cloud infrastructure, automating controls, and ensuring consistent and secure delivery of cloud platform services.
· Provide strategic direction and thought leadership for cloud platform solutions.
· Collaborate with business-led development teams to understand their application lifecycle challenges and design cloud platform solutions to automate and streamline processes.
· Participate in planning and workshops with the cloud platform development team to meet software development expectations and milestones.
· Possess a deep understanding of IaaS and PaaS services across different cloud platforms and leverage them to build complex solutions.
· Ensure that all cloud platform solutions adhere to security and compliance controls.
· Foster and actively participate in the DevOps culture by understanding and implementing relevant tools, processes, and mindset.
· Review and establish the right tooling and processes for a stable and fully automated build/release pipeline for cloud platform development teams.
· Serve as a trusted advisor for automation and tooling initiatives, providing practical insights and advice.
· Collaborate with business, development, and operations teams to design and prototype practical automation solutions and custom modules.
· Troubleshoot automation issues and find timely solutions to keep projects progressing.
· Plan, organize, and guide multiple responsibilities to successfully achieve project objectives.
· Ensure deliverables are completed within set timeframes and maintain high-quality standards.
· Drive continuous improvement in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes and tools.
· Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance against expected business outcomes.
· Demonstrate excellent influencing and reasoning skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and build consensus among stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
· Advanced proficiency in cloud infrastructure architecture and relevant certifications, with a focus on AWS (Azure or Google Cloud preferred as well).
· Advanced proficiency in Agile development methodology, specifically experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
· Advanced proficiency in Agile planning tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira.
· Advanced proficiency in continuous integration tools like Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
· Advanced proficiency in code management tools like GitHub and BitBucket.
· Intermediate proficiency in backend API design and development, including knowledge of OpenAPI Spec, Swagger, C# .NET, and Python.
· Intermediate proficiency in configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
· Advanced proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Perl, and Bash.
· Intermediate proficiency in enterprise application, server, software, and networking architecture and troubleshooting.
· Intermediate proficiency in Windows Server administration.
· Intermediate proficiency in Linux/Unix administration.
· Intermediate proficiency in database operations and queries, including experience with MS SQL Server, T-SQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
· Familiarity with cloud security and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, CIS, and NIST.
· Familiarity with datacenter infrastructure components like DNS, LDAP, and email relays.
· Familiarity with virtualization technologies like Hyper-V, VMware, and OpenStack.
· Knowledge of best practices for IT operations in an always-on, always-available service model.
