We are expanding our operations in Indonesia and are looking for a Compliance Onboarding Analyst to support merchant onboarding, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance risk management processes. This role is critical in ensuring smooth merchant activation while maintaining adherence to local financial regulations and AML/KYC requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) verification for new merchants applying to use HitPay’s payment solutions.
2. Perform risk assessments and compliance checks in line with Indonesia’s financial regulations and HitPay’s internal policies.
3. Identify and escalate potential fraud risks, suspicious activities, or high-risk businesses to the Compliance and Risk teams.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Monitoring

1. Ensure compliance with local laws, including BSP (Bank Indonesia) and OJK (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan) regulations on payment processing and merchant onboarding.
2. Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation for audits and regulatory reporting.
3. Monitor merchant transaction patterns to detect anomalies, suspicious behavior, and potential compliance breaches.

Process Optimization & Internal Collaboration

1. Work closely with internal teams (Risk, Operations, Product) to streamline merchant onboarding workflows.
2. Improve compliance frameworks, policies, and risk monitoring tools to enhance operational efficiency.
3. Stay updated on new compliance regulations and help educate internal teams and merchants on compliance best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

1. 2-4 years of experience in merchant onboarding, KYC/KYB, compliance, or risk management within payments, fintech, or banking.
2. Strong understanding of AML, CFT, and fraud prevention practices.
3. Familiarity with Bank Indonesia (BI) and OJK regulations related to PSPs and payment processing.
4. Experience using compliance tools (e.g., WorldCheck, Refinitiv, Dow Jones, or similar) to conduct screenings.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
7. Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth fintech or startup environment is a plus.
