The London Borough of Harrow is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor Master Technician to join its Fleet Services team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for a skilled individual to support and supervise fleet maintenance operations. The hourly rate is £35.74 per hour (Umbrella Paye).
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles to meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Support strategic fleet planning and efficient workshop operations.
- Lead service delivery and supervise workshop performance and staff.
- Coordinate resources and contribute to wider council transport initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with the Service Manager and complete documentation promptly.
- Stay current on regulations, undergo training, and hold relevant vehicle licenses.
- UK Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle
- HGV Licence
- MOT tester (Classes 4/5/7)
- Compliance knowledge: O Licence & DVSA standards
- Strong decision-making and adaptability
- Experience managing deadlines and conflicting demands
- Supervisory experience in H&S and team management
- Skilled in performance supervision and handling behaviour
- Customer-facing service experience
